The Amphibia episode "Swamp And Sensibility/Wax Museum" will be airing in Japan on May 15. Much like in America, the latter is being advertised as a Gravity Falls crossover instead of an homage. It's part of something called Gravity Saturday.

Finally! Tuesday saw the launch of Disney Channel Portugal's HD feed on NOS!

Shame that they launched it 10 years too late. They didn't convert Disney Cinemagic HD to Disney Channel HD back in the day.

Hurray! It was about time...

Disney Channel UK closedown from 1996.

Back when Disney Channel UK used to close at 10pm at night and have done so for years, up until the latter years of the channel's existance when it finally became 24-hours.

Also see this as a confidence vote in the future of Disney Channel in Portugal, they wouldn't launch a HD channel just to close it and the channel in the near future. Disney Channel HD chega a Portugal, seguindo o Disney Junior HD

Disney+ now has its own dedicated channel to allow access to the service on Movistar+ in Spain (on UHD boxes):

Not 10pm though, for most of its existence, it ran until 12am ;).

The 10pm double bill of Home Improvement was a staple, until 2004-05.

There also were. 24/7 experiemnts going on in 2004

Yes, but during the era of that closedown it was 10pm (when it timeshared with Sky Movies Gold from launch), I believe the digital service of Disney Channel had extended hours to 12am and the 10pm closedown continued on analogue until the service ended in 2001.

Sky had an habit for putting "Disney Channel Preview" after close at 12am on the EPG long after Disney Channel ceased being a premium channel, after 2006 it was no longer a preview but a night animation loop.

As for the 2004 experiment, I think you might be referring to this: Disney Channel UK now broadcasts round the clock

Actually, it kept a previewish until a bit later than 2006.

The loop came in force in the 2010s.

But yeah, in 2006 they gave up caring about their preview, so much it kept carring a Christmas preview in the beginning of 2008, and some other weird stuff.

At this point, it was a unified preview with the same thing running on Cinemagic and Playhouse.

The only 24/7 channel was Toon Disney, but when this closed down, Cinemagic as a replacement was 6:00-0:00 too

Actually, 2006 (starting in summer 2006, when the good presentation package was refreshed) and 2007 were the years Disney channel's in the UK had a very minimal to non-existing pres

A very minimal one, consisting of mistakes, nothing but a shabby menu shown either as an ECP or after the programme, no ident.
And only became worse in 2007, with the ribbon look, having replaced everything with a "bar ECP".

Only in 2008 efforts against this automated presentation were to be made.

A shame the 2006 look from Cinemagic package had very good idents , but rarely used as kdents.

Nevertheless, 2007 saw a large improvement , with the new look

Yes, the 2006 look of Disney Cinemagic isn't talked about that much, people tend to remember the channel's last look as that was the one that was known the most internationally. This was made by Light Creative who also made those Jetix Max idents.

Also here's the preliminary version running in parallel. Simon Dean was a creative manager at Disney EMEA at the time, went over to Cartoon Network for a few years and now has his own company Spark and Glory.
