I kind of get it in principle. On the one hand, you don't want to see animators out of work, but on the other hand...that doesn't mean you need to like or enjoy a show if it's not very good.

Like, the animators on Velma are probably fantastic people and did a great job, but that doesn't make it a good show worth continuing.

@Frontier I agree. Like I said before in other threads, you can sympathize with the animators who worked on the show and still called Velma a POS.

Both of those things can be true at the same time.

Unpopular opinion to the suits: written off shows should automatically enter the public domain.
Happy 32nd Anniversary, Cartoon Network…………well, at least what’s left of it.. :/

Would it be nice to get all of WBD's cartoons in one place? Definitely. But some of them being on Hulu isn't that bad; at least there's a bundle for that.

    JMTV
@Silverstar I mean, to be fair, I have no problem with CN shows being on Hulu (and on the Disney+ bundle), and I suggest they should do more. I just wish WBD announced the removals ahead of time.

I don't know. Maybe because I'm so fed up with WBD's BS to the point of apathy. It sucks because it really shouldn't be this way.

I want to be optimistic about CN, but how many times we give CN the benefit of the doubt before the company finds a new way to disappoint us?
I know some of y'all gonna disagree with me, and thinking that I'm overreacting over nothing, but you gonna be arguing with yourself.

Let me ask you a question:

Do you hate how these greedy corporations treat shows and movies as “content” because they realize that they can just delete them whenever they want?

Once again, if you trying argue in the replies, then you are gonna be arguing with yourself.

Lastly, I'm gonna keep it a buck with y'all.

Yes, FAST services do exist, but y'all know it doesn't have everything on there, and all the things most people do want to see is either under a paywall at a premium price or locked in a vault and never to get to be seen again. And considering that we live in age of inflation, a lot of people can't afford services at a high cost with less content.

    I mean, come on!

    General reminder to #StandWithAnimation.

Don't defend or stan any corpos who done something morally corrupted because of their greed and hubris. They don't care about you and they're not your friends.

Support the human artists and animators and storytellers who bring their passion to life. These are the people we need to support the most, especially during these tough times..
Unpopular opinion: I don't know about y'all, I grown to like this commercial over time.

Seeing Adult Swim characters crossing over with Cartoon Network characters was definitely a treat to see. I really love it. I really do miss that unification that CN/AS used to have. Granted, they can not express that on-air now for obvious reasons, but at least in some form is nice.
    aegisrawks
    aegisrawks
Cartoon Network and Adult Swim not unified? Most of Adult Swim is CN reruns now!
    JMTV
    JMTV
@aegisrawks Not anymore. CN/AS may be sharing the same channel space, but they became their own separated entities since 2005 for ratings and advertising purposes.

AS may air the old Cartoon Cartoons, but once they moved to AS, CN are not gonna rerun them on their own anymore, with the exception of some of their big franchises like PPG.
Hot take: I heard some people say that CN fans are more fickle than wrestling fans, but I argue that CN stans are more annoying than Nickelodeon haters.

Why? This tweet will give you the answer

    Such a dumb take.

Adam Conover's recent video about streaming destroyed TV is a much watch,

This is what happened when Wall Street was trying to please everyone, but end up pleasing no one.
Y' know, it's pretty sad that Discovery Family has a lot more interesting things going on than Cartoon Network nowadays.

Ever think it'd also be cool if DFC got to air movies too? The Hub used to air lots of movies on the Hub Family Movie block and even Discovery Family initially continued airing movies until 2019.

As much as I hate Twitter kids saying degenerate stupidity that they "think" they had common sense when they don't (or a bunch of keyboard warriors in some cases), this is super accurate that is hilarious

First of all, when I'm criticizing something, I criticized them when they needed to be criticized. I don't act all toxic and negative all the time because that'll get you nowhere, yet I'm not gonna settled for garbage that these companies trying to spoon-fed at me. Huge difference.

Second of all, it's really annoying that these people are trying pull a moral high ground think that their opinion matters when they don't. All you do is creating this brain rot echo chamber and you don't hear the other side of it all. That's what (most) people on Twitter are like that. Yes, I understand that there are people who are toxic and negative, but it's not everyone.

If you really do think that people have genuine concerns and rightfully criticized on what these companies are doing are considered "crybabies that needs to get a life", that's really said a lot about you, doesn't it?

Wow. Disney is pulling a Cartoon Network, only this time in reverse.

Now, I wasn't interest in Disney Now to begin with anyway, so seeing this news doesn't really surprised me, but it is pretty sad that kid-friendly websites from kids networks are starting to lose its relevance?

Oops, didn't see this when I made my post. Still bad to kill TV app the one for Rokus and stuff Nick did that earlier this year. Good if your cable company has an app for things like mine, but bad if yours doesn't.

As someone who is not a DVD collector nor buy things digitally, this is a good price tag for people who want to buy things legally for a very cheap price.

If you want to support the official release, get it while it's hot.

The opening of Scooby Doo Frankencreepy is genuinely quite intense.
I don't understand how Toy Story 5 will work unless it's a flashback of events we didn't see from Toy Story 4.
well, i have something shocking to say... i'm going to have biggest changes involving my online career this 11/1/24

although i won't reveal everything about that, i had to show the only one highlight

I am incapable of binge watching. I won't do it. Unfortunately, many shows on streaming are made to be binged.
