The two best movies of SpongeBob SquarePants are The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water sinse those had the creator Stephen Hillenburg involved. The first two had a special charm to them with the stories and characters.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run is not bad but feels average compared to the original two movies.

Nickelodeon is expanding its SpongeBob SquarePants universe with 52 episodes across the property’s three series. Nickelodeon has greenlit additional episodes of The Patrick Star Show and season 13 of the original SpongeBob SquarePants series and also, Paramount+ has renewed Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years for a second season and added additional episodes to season one.

Rodger Bumpass has revealed that there are at least two character spin-offs in development, with plans for one spin-off for each character eventually. Neither of the first two are for Squidward, however. Interestingly, it seems like the spin-offs maybe for Netflix.

Vincent Waller said that, unlike the first two movies, the show will not undergo a production hiatus in order to make the fourth movie. He also said further down that this is the Sandy movie.
