- FINALLY, the second season of Total DramaRama premieres on the channel, on 28th June!! Thank goodness!!! New episodes will air weekdays at 12.40 CET, two new segments per day, with reruns at 16.20 CET and the day after at 06.55 CET, plus at the same timeslots on weekends. 24 new episodes (S2.1) will air as part of this new batch. Considering there usually is a number of 26 episodes (or 13 half-hours, it depends), something tells me there are two episodes which got banned....
About time! As for the banned episodes, it's pretty obvious that The A-Bok-Bok-Bokalypse (S2E12) and Total Eclipse of the Fart (S216) are the ones that won't be airing due to Covid and CN CEE's hatred towards fart jokes. But hey, maybe they will surprise me.

And yay SD: Mystery Inc will be back! I had a feeling they will have that show return after hearing about The Looney Tunes Show coming back. Angelo airing in the daytimes again is nice too, I just wish they would air its first 3 seasons instead of only airing its 4th season and nothing more. I heard that they lost the rights for them, but the same thing was also true to Robotboy's first 2 seasons, but eventually, they did start airing those seasons again. So it's not impossible to get the rights back to these seasons.

Honestly if CN CEE wants to use its 9am slot to rerun other shows for a month, they shouldn't air Boomerang shows and instead air older shows. I'm sure more people would like that. Nobody wants to see shows like Mr. Magoo airing on CN when that already airs on Boomerang. I reallly, really hope that they will bring back even older shows, even if only for just a month, it would be so cool to see them on TV again.

Has anyone noticed that the EMEA press releases always say that Cartoon Network is available in "over 70 countries in 19 different languages". I feel like a moron but I can't figure out what's the 19th language?

You would think: "Maybe they forgot to update it?" I mean, I guess it was indeed 19 languages from September 20th until October 2nd, 2017, for a whopping 13 days, but the 20th language (Finnish) launched basically immediately after Czech. And if you don't count Finnish or Greek, then Spanish doesn't count either and then Cartoon Network never had 19 EMEA languages!

Or maybe we shouldn't count English and Hindi because they are dubbed outside EMEA? Then there are 19 languages :D

English (1993)
Swedish (1993)
Norwegian (1993)
Danish (199x)
Dutch (1997)
German (2005)

French (1993)
Italian (199x)
Romanian (2002)
Portuguese (2013)

Polish (1998)
Russian (2005)
Bulgarian (2009)
Czech (2017)

Hungarian (2002)
Turkish (2008)
Arabic (2010)
Hindi (2016 in Arabic countries)

(Spanish, CN (1994-2013), Boing since 2010)
(Finnish, Toonix/HBO Max, 2017)
(Greek, Cartoon Network on Demand, 2018)

Italian was added in 1996: Turner Info - Press Office

Danish was added in 1997: Mere TV på børneværelserne

Spain still has Cartoon Network in a way, they have the Cartoon Network Premium SVOD service.

The thing with Robotboy is that CN commisioned it, they were involved in the show's production (hence the CN logo shown on the end credits). Angelo Rules was just an acquisition, they never owned any part of it. They somehow still own Robotboy, so of course they can always get the rights back to the older episodes in a very easy way. Not the same can be said for Angelo, the last time they aired season 1 on the CEE feeds was in 2015, season 2 was aired for the last time in 2018 while they stopped airing season 3 around 2019. I hope CN in Europe will acquire the fifth season of the show.

Yeah, I was surprised myself that a show like SD: MI can still be aired today considering CN CEE's standards. I expect, though, some drastic censorships. The sad thing is, that the 9am slot was directly considered for Boomerang shows only, as a way of cross-promotion. I know why Angelo Rules was one of those shows, since Boomerang CEE (as we remember) aired it for a period in 2019. But we know the show clearly doesn't belong there, same for the Ben 10 reboot! So yeah, CN CEE will only air Boomerang shows at 9.00 CET to cross-promote the latter's shows. But Angelo Rules must have been mistakenly mixed up in the Boomerang archives after it aired temporarly, hopefully it won't be the case for Power Players and the Ben 10 reboot too, I can tell you that I took a peek over the July highlights of CN CEE and another CGI show from Boomerang will be thrown over. So you can now speculate.

As for those two episodes of Total DramaRama... yeah, I can see what you mean, unfortunately. It's chicken pox, so of course all the CN European CN channels want to stray away from any epidemy-related matter. They are gonna trigger the people who are already more triggered about the corona. Geesh. CN CEE already kept intact some fart jokes and scenes through the years, an episode revolving around it honestly makes no difference.

Actually, excluding the final three, there are actually 18 languages in total, not 19.

Summer Camp Island comes to HBO GO Poland on June 25th.

Source: HBO GO Poland News for June 2021.

It looks like one episode from Season 1 will be skipped.

Is it the same for HBO GO Czech/CEE?
Besides SCI, also on June 25th:
- season 1 of Steven Universe will be added to HBO Go CEE and Poland (readded in the case of Poland)
- seasons 2-4 of The Amazing World of Gumball are readded to HBO Go CEE and Poland
- Looney Tunes Cartoons, a week after the Boomerang CEE premiere, will be added to HBO Go CEE and Poland on 18th June

Sadly, the Gumball episode "The Slap" will be ommited now, despite the fact it was added the first time season 4 got put on HBO Go in 2018. Also some more episodes are ommited, like "The Coach", "The Joy", "The Authority" and "The Virus"......

@CanalPlusFan1980 what episode of season 1 of SCI is the one ommited?

Norwegian was only added in 2001. Found it in a UPC Norway page last year saying that the dubbing studios were engaged in the production of the dubbed shows.

That's not true. CN Europe had four audio tracks from the start in 1993: English, French, Swedish and Norwegian.

And on CN Nordic, all programs were dubbed in all three Scandinavian languages starting 2000. (except probably Tom and Jerry, Turner liked airing that cartoon undubbed)

Here is an example of a Norwegian dub.

I'm searching for this funny CN CEE filler which was played between 2010-2011.

It had a boat with pirates, but a parrot says "Cartoon Network!" all the time, with the pirates trying to shoot it. It ended with a treasure chest with the CN logo and the parrot landed in it, saying the channel's name for one last time.

They should file a lawsuit against MeTV Toons for stealing the classic cartoons away from Boomerang. Boomerang found the classic cartoons first.

I will miss your use of Mouse as your pfp, but since your name is LinusFan303, having Linus as your pfp only makes sense.
I haven't seen a channel launch as promising as MeTV Toons since The Hub. Let's hope their similarities don't extend to fate.
Happy 8th Anniversary to the Loud House! I still enjoy the show, mostly.
I don't care what anyone says, The Super Friends version of the origin of Batman was pretty effective for 1980s Saturday morning TV. Plus, Alfred telling young Bruce Wayne it's time to go when visiting his parents' graves just tugs at the heartstrings.
