  • I've seen the entirety of Craig of the Creek on Max in Denmark (including the final four episodes that haven't been released yet in the United States, as well as the Craig Before the Creek prequel movie). This show is 100% worth watching. Can't say much about the series finale to avoid spoilers for U.S. viewers, but it's decent!
After watching the entirety of Steven Universe on Max (in Denmark of course—it's not on Max in the United States anymore!) along with the movie (haven't seen Future yet though), I can safely say that this show really is absolutely phenomenal and absolutely worth watching if you have the time to do so.

Now I've finally seen Steven Universe Future too in its entirety, and it makes for a phenomenal finale to Steven Universe. You should absolutely watch it after watching the original series and the movie if you can—it is a massive gamechanger!
A lot of very important people are on Bluesky (new moral substitute to X) now, so I've already established an account on there. Follow me on there at @zakawer.bsky.social
Weirdly, I actually somehow remember Denmark's Kanal 4 many years ago (probably 2007 or 2008) inexplicably and randomly airing an episode of Dexter's Laboratory. This is weird because the channel is normally aimed at women, with Danish-subtitled English-language live-action scripted and unscripted programming (along with Danish-language original programming) making up the majority of the channel's schedule.

The episode was of course dubbed into Danish, using the exact same Danish dub that historically aired on Cartoon Network.
I actually remember seeing a Danish-language CN Nordic promo for Victor and Valentino (RIP that show, killed globally by Zaslav) in a movie theater ahead of a theatrical screening of A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon (which I saw in a theater back in 2019). Interesting…

@zakawer2 Why you're blaming Zaslav for all things wrong that happened with Cartoon Network's shows? There are actually different reasons for canceling them, actually.

Yes, this terrifying homunculus that resembles Pearl from Steven Universe is an actual, officially licensed thing that was actually made. It's not a bootleg!
The Swedish Cyborg 009 dub is weird. It wasn't translated from Japanese to Swedish, but rather from Japanese to Danish. There was literally only one voice actor, a Dane named Timm Mehrens; he tried very hard to speak Swedish (translating the script in real time into Swedish), but threw in weird danicisms. He did literally all voices—not just men and boys, but even women and girls too.
DR Ramasjang is supposedly a preschool channel here in Denmark, but they're also for some reason airing Phineas and Ferb, What's New Scooby-Doo, SpongeBob SquarePants and Jade Armor.

Before I read your post I thought DR Ramasjang was aimed at all kids not just preschool ones.

Well, it's probably there just so they have a linear airing, as their channel/branding for older kids & teens, DR Ultra, moved online in 2020 and they likely don't want to disrupt daytime programs on DR 1 & DR 2.

    Reasonable.

An interview with Nathan Rollinson (the dude who played Shaun Shake in that one Make, Shake and Jake TV show that airs on CN UK once a month). He's an Instagram influencer now with almost 100,000 followers who posts very frequently on there.
Game of Thrones also has Latvian audio on Max (including in Denmark), but disappointingly it's just a lector voice-over and not a dub. Most likely an older pre-existing voice-over that has already aired on television in Latvia or is available on Go3 or Tet+.
On Max in multiple European countries (including Denmark), The Penguin actually has a Latvian audio track that's surprisingly somehow an actual proper dub and not a lector voiceover! This is very interesting, because The Batman (2022) doesn't even have a Latvian dub to begin with!
It's exceptionally rare for a scripted live-action TV series (and especially one with mature content) to receive a proper dub in Latvian, especially given how lectoring is far more prevalent on Latvian TV in comparison. However, it has somehow already happened!
I've extensively updated and improved this wiki page on the Danish dub of Amphibia with up-to-date and more comprehensive information:

In September of 2017, I left Egypt for Turkey, where I lived for several months. Then in late June 2018, I returned to Denmark (where I was born and raised), where I now live.
Boomerang MENA's website STILL doesn't have Pat the Dog in it, despite that show premiering on Boomerang MENA a few days ago.
Playing Toon Cup 2017 is a pain in the butt. The goalkeeper AI is the biggest problem—it prevents me from scoring ANY goals whatsoever.
Seriously, Nightosphere Prime/Simon Petrikov needs to stop being lazy and start uploading CN MENA/Boomerang MENA continuity more frequently.
Hi my friend do you know the April boomerang highlights? I just know that tom and Jerry classics are back!!

All I officially know is that new episodes of Mr. Bean: The Animated Series and The Tom and Jerry Show will begin next Sunday, and that the Tom vs. Garfield and Scooby Movies! events will end by then. Oh, and they didn't air the LEGO Scooby-Doo special either.

As for Tom and Jerry theatrical shorts, they actually DIDN'T remove them. Instead, they only air on overnights, at a time when I'm not even allowed to stay awake and watch TV because of dad.

Thank you for the info. I agree with tom and Jerry it is too late

I prefer Conan O'Brien over Graham Norton, that is all.
A big thanks to those who wished me a happy birthday on the birthday threads two days ago.
So, tell me something: do you think Boomerang should get a rebrand? The current bumpers are gonna be 10 years old next year, so do you think it’s time for a rebrand?
