Least we get see the classic Dende qoute again this month. Plus we begin the long Freeza battle again. I hope we get to see The Cell Saga again.

Glad to see the DBZ not in the Buu Saga. Hope they'll get to the Android/Cell Saga though.

Um...I'll get back to you
I have a feeling that until Funi finishes up redubbing the first part of the series, this is as close as we are going to get to a full run at this time. Don't get why they start with the first Funi ep, but considering how many times it has been shown...(well, at least start at "Goku is Ginyu and Ginyu is Goku" if they were going to start from that fight! Or even skip Ginyu and start from Porunga's summoning)

From how it sounds now, we may be stuck with reruns for about a month before some new stuff (either more Dragonball, more Cyborg 009 or Superior Defender) shows up. Then again, the August schedule isn't up, so that is just a guesstimation.

The Schedule is pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but that's okay. I think they're going with the 3rd Third Season Dragon Ball Z episode to start the Frieza saga since that's the start of when the Funimation episodes start to synch up with the Japanese version of the episode. That's the only reason I could think of.

Interesting. Maybe CN will buy the redubs after all, but that's probably just wishful thinking.

William C Maune, I definitely like the presentation of this schedule better than the typicall one that simply shows the line-up.

Much easier to find exactly when certain runs/continuities of series start and end. Thanks...

And as for the August schedule... gah, lots' of repeats...

But, I don't mind so much considering that Adult Swim will have new Inuyasha, Big O, FLCL, and Blue Gender episodes by then... which will most certainly be more than enough for me to have to tape.

WS loves to trade off when new content is on Toonami and AS. In March Toonami had tons of new stuff and AS didn't. April AS had Trigun while Toonami ran new Yu Yu Hakusho. When Toonami got new Kenshin AS got Kikaider. While Toonami has Cyborg 009 AS will get The Big O. When August rolls around Toonami has nothing new but there are tons of new things on AS (it's the March of Adult Swim as you might say) and in September chances are Toonami will have lots of new stuff and AS will be running through the last of the new Inu-Yasha and then have a dry spot.

The way it seems is that WS never puts on more than about 2-3 new shows at any given time (or new episodes). Usually that means Toonami and AS both get something new at the same time (sometimes one of them gets more than one new thing) and other times it means one block gets 2-3 new shows and the other one doesn't get anything. While this might annoy the casual Toonami watcher I think it's a brilliant stradegy that usually serves to keep everyone happy.

August is gonna suck but chances are in the September Toonami will get new Yu Yu Hakusho and as already confirmed new Dragonball and maybe even another new show. So the dry spell is a bummer if you don't watch AS but if you do then works out great.

I think there stradgey is to push Adult Swim much more in the Summer because more people would be able to watch it (meaning mainly adults but some teens as well). Then as usual the push Toonami in the Fall because that's when you draw in your audience for the long haul. There is indeed a method to the madness or is it a madness to the method...

I would mostly agree with everything that Hyper Luigi said, except that Adult Swim isn't targeting teenagers at all in their new style. Just to tell you.

No they aren't targeting teens intentionally... some may dissagree with that last statement, but I think it's valid for the most part. However, Summer gives teens a chance to watch Adult Swim with little penalty (meaning sleep deprivation that comes from watching it durring the school week). So they may check it out. Late night TV thrives durring the summer afterall. Doesn't mean they are targeting them, but it does mean they have more of a chance of seeing Adult Swim and getting hooked.

So I guess the whole thing about a Samurai Jack one week run in August is off?

Time to go update my schedule database...

Wow, Superior Defender. We've been waiting for this for a while, but now we really get to see if this is the "Armada" of Gundam or something actually worthwhile. I just I hope I am wrong about the former remark. (and it looked so promising in its planning stages....)

I'm kinda dissapointed that Superior Defender won't feature any of the human Gundam characters (ex: Herro, Domon, Char, etc) super deformed. I guess I was hopeing for something along the line of a animeted Go Domon Wing. I'll still like it, just not as much as I thought I would.

 I just rememberd, I'll be on a week long visit with my Grandparents. Darn it!
