The WGA directories indicates the show has been renewed for a second season.

Well often, especially within the past 10 years, the showrunners plan and pay for Seasons 1 & 2 ahead of time (look at ST: Strange New Worlds). This one was going to be not completely risky as a very familiar name brand. Season 2 is apparently the one that is going be really risky. As (no spoilers), but will probably be pretty expensive. In fact substantially more than Season 1.

While that is somewhat promising; in the world of Netflix it isn't. They usually cancel after one or two seasons anyway.

Saw that. I believe that they were preordered, so the money was supposedly already spent. This should be interesting.

11/2/22: Neil Gaiman posted a short video confirming it.

11/18: In past interview now revisited, Gaiman confirmed Wanda would play a huge role in season 2.

(posts between November and February are currently MIA)

3/18/23: Character descriptions seemingly confirm the Season of Mists and Brief Lives arcs will be adapted.

4/17: Gaiman say scripts are written, casting for the first episode, and sets are being designed.

6/28: Sturridge seem filming with an actor in white at Durdle Door in Dorset.

6/30: Casting for Thor, Loki, Odin, King Auberon, and Queen Titania.

7/14: Production has paused.

8/10: Season 1 Blu-ray/DVD set for November 27.

9/7: Season 1 Digital release is September 18 and Blu-ray/DVD on November 28. Will have all 11 episodes and 2 special features.

10/2: Reportedly casting is currently underway for the roles of Hades, Persephone and Eurydice.

10/11: Comments from director Jamie Childs.

11/12: Set to resume filming on November 27.
