Apparently Deadpool was off-limits for the show. Not sure if that will change in following seasons but it's fine with me, personally. Though I did consider Theo James might voice him, before all was revealed.
I wonder if it's because of Ryan Reynolds' version and they want that to be the de-facto Deadpool...Apparently Deadpool was off-limits for the show. I think it's been hinted that Cassandra Nova was off-limits due to the movie as well.I wonder if it's because of Ryan Reynolds' version and they want that to be the de-facto Deadpool...
Marvel Animation trying to take cue from the successes of DC Animation, even the embargos .It's weird because Deadpool did have a couple of cameos on the original series, when he wasn't as famous as he is now. I figured him and Carol Danvers would appear here instead of Captain America (not that I'm complaining).
With this embargo in place it kind of reminds me how Batman related characters couldn't appear on Justice League Unlimited.
I'm still shell shocked from the little X-Men and Fantastic Four embargos from the Marvel Animation Studios days. The e-word gives me cold shivers.Marvel Animation trying to take cue from the successes of DC Animation, even the embargos .
They might be saving Ghost Rider so they can do a Spider-Man '98 team-up .Speaking of, with Wolverine on the show and now cameos of Spidey and Hulk (well, thanks to Morph anyway), we basically have 3/4 of a Fantastic Four line-up. Will Ghost Rider pop up next? Or the real, original F4 team?

The next-closest original series to Echo is the recently released X-Men '97 Season 1 at 6.8%.
Season 1 had the destruction of Genosha too. It's kind of funny to think that this show is going to have a heavy Apocalypse influence when season 2 of WaTXM was also going to be heavily focused on Apocalypse.
Also the X-Men having to stop a mass Sentinel attack and Magneto .Season 1 had the destruction of Genosha too.
