This SFW image is from the upcoming porn parody. The costume actually looks very good.

They even worked in the black costume.

Yes, Axel Braun Has a Man of Steel Porno Ready - Topless Robot - Nerd news, humor and self-loathing.

Link also safe for work. Any links in the page in that link, I would be very careful about.

After watching the Geoff Johns JSA episode of Smallville, I am slowly coming to the unfortunate conclusion that it's really, really, really difficult to depict costumed superheroes on screen in a way that isn't just inherently silly-looking. It's part of the reason I think Singer was quite right to go with the simple leather stuff and ditch the gaudy excesses Ratner and Vaughn later fully embraced. I don't know, even Nolan tried not to put anyone except Batman in any kind of traditional costume. There's an inherent silliness in the whole thing that I just don't think there's a way around. Kind of like how Nicholas Meyer dumped the candy-colored uniforms for the military-flavored stuff in Star Trek. It takes a very, very deft directorial hand to make the audience believe in talking monsters, as I think The Amazing Spider-Man demonstrated.

New Movie Poster:
Movie Pictures | Movie Posters - Yahoo! Movies
In 1978 the poster for "Superman" boldly proclaimed, "You will believe a man can fly." The message of the final poster for this summer's "Man of Steel" -- premiering exclusively here on Yahoo! Movies -- seems to be, "You will believe a man can fly FAST."

The poster shows Henry Cavill in flight streaking above Metropolis, seemingly moving so fast he's barely in focus. Cavill has a real look of determination on his face, quite different from the more placid expressions of previous on-screen Supermans like Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh. That's by design. According to director Zack Snyder ("300," "Watchmen"), flying for this Superman is hard work.
Once again, HE'S SUPERMAN! He's not supposed to "work" or be fatigued every time he uses his powers. If it's hard work to fly (and I'm assuming "hard work" will be used for his other powers as well), wouldn't General Zod and his gang have to "work" even HARDER to use their powers since they are suddenly gaining them. Therefore, despite there being 4 of them (and use of their space ship), wouldn't Superman have a significant advantage? But I guess thats irrelevant because we all know they're going to threaten to inflict harm on people at some point to get Superman to kneel and obey.

Well, the website io9 has posted what seems to be a pretty big spoiler from Man of Steel, and I don't think a lot of people are going to be pleased with this. In the movie....
Krypton doesn't die. The reason why Jor-El sends him to Earth is so that the other Kryptonians won't discover that Kal-El isn't a baby born purely of genetic engineering

I'll be honest,...wow. That just doesn't make any sense in my opinion.

That's stupid. That would really make it a much, much darker story.

But it also makes a lot of sense with what we know already.

There's no Kryptonite if Krypton didn't explode. And there are a lot of other Kryptonians in the story.

The other explanation of course is that Zod, who wants to take Kal El back to Krypton, is just out of the loop and doesn't know it exploded because he was locked on that spaceship.

Alrighty, I think some of the regulars in the thread (and perhaps the entire forum) have a feel for my personality and my passion twards some topics at hand when I chip in my 2 cents. Do I really want to click those spoilers? I usually dont believe any spoilers anyway and stay in complete denial regards to them until I see for myself.

If you're going to be in complete denial, you might as well.

In the trailer stuff's blowing up when Jor El is launching Kal into space...
That could just be civil war going on. Though, I really don't wanna believe that spoiler. It just completely messes with Superman's characterization & it would serve no purpose of being in the movie at all.

Well, I also figured, I can complain about it now or complain about it next month in the talkback thread if indeed this mystery spoiler is indeed true. Let me guess, the spoiler in question is that on Perry White's birth certificate it says "Steel", and that (lack of) logic automaticly makes him the character Steel.

I'll avoid for now. Considering the reaction we're getting here, maybe it will be debunked very soon and I can come back and see what had people talking.

That is a really bad guess. Not even close.

If Krypton still exists in this universe than it makes for a chance to show that even if he did return to his people Clark wouldn't necessarily fit in.

How could you possibly conclude that without knowing the full story or the context of which it would conceivably play? In any case I'm not too vexed by the concept, as there's plenty of leeway to retain the spirit of Clark's isolation, even if the details aren't exactly the same.

BTW, many scans of the children's books have already been released which disprove this supposed spoiler.

Is the spoiler in question not "kid friendly", which would be why it's not in the children's books? Speaking in general, dont they alter a film's adaptations/tie ins to omit any major spoilers?

This isn't the type of spoiler that would be "harmful" to kids. It's a huge staple of the franchise and is featured in every single iteration of the character. As for keeping it out of the adaptations, it's always possible, but I don't foresee it as there are other clues in promo material and insider info that would say otherwise. Like I said though, even if it's true, I'm going to give it a fair shot. It's not the biggest deal in the world imo. It could be damn interesting if played off in a particular way that sets up sequels.

After thinking about it for a while, I just don't think this spoiler is true. It just doesn't make any sense & even in a sense of "let's change things up for a new interpretation of this charactert" it adds nothing, & detracts if anything.
I think io9 may have just exaggerated something they heard in an interview, I guess

BatKid is right, every Superman story has this feature. Go ahead and click on it, especially since it looks to be untrue.

Metropolis, Earth,
Still very unimpressed. It would be nice to just tone down the Christ imagery, I think we've had enough of it and it's such a lazy route that writers and directors keep going with it. Look we all know he's got similarities but that doesn't make them the same. The effects look nice and I got a chuckle out of the interrogation scene, even if it is kind of stupid.

From the trailers and such the film actually seems to be drifting away from that compared the past films.., "Superman Returns" had more of that vibe IMO... Like you said though, they have a few minor similarities but Superman is still not even close. So I always disliked the comparison they did with that... leave Superman as the comic book character and nothing else... I really hope the new film doesn't try to do what the past films or comics have done, but I guess I'll just wait to see the film though.
Anyways back to main topic...

This movie looks sooooo incredibly cool... let's hope it actually is and does Superman justice in every way.
:)

@kanc What were the episodes in the "Secret Agent Loud" compilation?
I think that Regular Show and Phineas and Ferb should both stay gone. Both shows ended in a high note and bringing them back would likely negate the impact that the finales had. Although I was never a fan of P&F myself.
What's going on with the members? Everyone went out for a break? In the last like 30-40 minutes there are either 2-5 members online, or only myself.
WOO HOO! Cartoon Network had terrific ratings! I knew Craig of The Creek Was A Huge hit!

Now I hope @Light Lucario is right and the show has staying power during reruns. Which I think is a great step to buy CN some time for new cartoons.
I'm generally 'eh' about Disney Channel, but I like these idents:

They're fun and colorful. I miss cool brandings like these.
