So they either aren't adaptating the story where the first meet ("Please Look After This Bear"), or are airing it out of order. Or maybe they aren't making the first chapter right away? Surely you don't mean to say that the show takes place after the movies, do you?...

I don't know if this is a mistake or not, but for some reason, according to Zap2it, TV guide, and TitanTV, Nicktoons will premiere new episodes of SpongeBob on New Year's Day, ones that haven't aired on the main Nickelodeon yet. The episodes, with airtimes, are:

Boss for a Day - 12am
My Two Krabses - 12:30am
Pineapple RV - 3:15am
Shell Games - 3:30am

The sad thing I find about the January premieres when looking at it:

Spongebob only has 1 new episode because the Musical is a new Sing Along version and the Beach Bash is only a special clip show.

Blue's Clues & You only has 1 new episode as well in January, even though the Nick Jr channel is saying "New episodes everyday" in their BC&Y videos, which is just incorrect and not true, because the only time they had daily new episodes was the premiere episodes in November.

There is some shows on Nick and Nick Jr that has like 1-2 new episodes and not more in January, and that is just sad.
