I hate how they show the shows we want in America in other countries. Well, I'm also surprised they're doing this. I wonder what kind of response it's going to get.

So the launch date is... on an American holiday (July 4), which is a middle-of-the-week work day up in Canada?

What do you mean? Every CN show that the Teletoon channels are slated to air is already running on either CN proper or Boomerang or is featured on Cartoon Planet. Aside from the Filmation and DiC shows, which can't air on Turner owned stations in the US due to ownership rights, they're not seeing anything that we don't already see here.

Yep. Keep in mind our neighbors to the North don't celebrate our Independence Day; they do celebrate Canada Day, which is on July 1st. They probably could've made the big launch on that date, but it might have gotten lost in the celebration.

It only hurts forever
I'm not familiar with Canada's Secondary Audio Programming laws.
Does every one of those shows have to be aired in both English and French?

French dubbed Tim & Eric... sorry Canada.

Chicks dig it, dude!

Heh. In the US, Harvey Birdman airs Sundays @ 1:15am (repeated 4:15am) and Tim and Eric airs Sundays @ 12:45am (repeated 3:45am).

Sketch

not like those other old guys

Actually Tim & Eric and Harvey Birdman are both on the Sunday line-up at the moment.

The Venture Bros. is the lone Adult Swim show on that schedule that is not currently on our Adult Swim but it's bound to come back eventually.

Billy and Mandy is the only show on the CN side that isn't regularly airing on CN or Boomerang but as you mentioned that does at least show up on Cartoon Planet. KND is off at the moment but it usually cycles back in. Though not that many homes get Boomerang so I suppose only getting PPG and Dexter at most once a week on Cartoon Planet might be disappointing to some.

French dubbed Tim & Eric... sorry Canada.

That sounds more entertaining to me.

Ah, didn't know that. Lately I only watch AS for Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen, er, um, Aqua Unit, so I typically switch it off at 12:30 AM, so I wasn't aware. Thanks for that.

Fixed.

Hold the phone? Was The Powerpuff Girls previously aired on YTV? 'Cause, YTV Canada most likely still owns the show.

Billy and Mandy airing on Teletoon Retro? Smart move Teletoon, the show isn't 'retro' enough to be on Teletoon Retro.

Also, glad to see Dexter making its way back to Canada.

the company that owns half of teletoon owns ytv so they licences can be transfered easily, the shows dont have to be in english and french, they usually have sepreate channels but so far cartoon network french has not be announced. also i think they are putting some older shows on the retro channel to better use the libary they now have , instead of being like nick canada that showed older stuff at night and at random times.

So a the full cartoon network channel is going to come to Canada? What about shows that air on Teletoon and CN, will they just air twice? :p

Of all of Cartoon Network's detractors, no one hates Cartoon Network more than Warner Bros Discovery.
Does anyone else think that Doug Walker has just been phoning it in with the Nostalgia Critic episodes lately? Maybe he doesn't need to be doing a new episode of NC every week anymore. I think that Doug should cut NC down to just 1 episode per month or something similar.
