Is Fox bringing the alternate cut of Deadpool 2 to home formats? And if so, when? Extremely soon. Once Upon A Deadpool just left movie theaters, but it’ll be out on Blu-Ray within two weeks, so if you didn’t feel like paying for the same movie twice, you might be more inclined to pay for the same Blu-Ray twice. Or at least rent a movie you already own.
When Venom went from big screen to disc in just two months, Deadpool said to himself “Psh, I can beat that record easily.” Does it count if 80% of the movie already exists on DVD? Deadpool says “Just for that observation, I’m cancelling the SECOND animated series I was about to star in but didn’t tell you about until now.”
From the studio that brought you Anastasia and Ever After comes a fairy tale that doesn’t go by the book. Everyone’s favorite disreputable Super Hero returns with a twist on Deadpool 2 that the whole gang can enjoy. Watch Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) as he teams up with Domino (Zazie Beet), Cable (Josh Brolin) and the rest of the X-Force to prove that family is not an F-word. With over 20 minutes of new footage and jam-packed with surprises, you’ll wonder why the fudge they even bothered with the original version.
Since the two-week screening last month was for a charitable cause, will any of the money from the home video release do the same? Yes it will. Just as $1 from every ticket sold went to the organization Fudge Cancer, $1 from every Blu-Ray or digital copy will be donated as well. Any personal guilt about buying the same movie twice can be quieted by this fact.
There are no new special features mentioned, but as Deadpool would say, “Isn’t Fred Savage enough?”
