“Big Hero 6” Picks Up Chris Williams as Co-Director, Roy Conli as Producer

Big Hero 6The Hollywood Reporter notes that Chris Williams has joined Don Hall as co-director for Walt Disney Feature Animation’s Big Hero 6, and has also named Roy Conli as a new producer for the film. Williams co-directed and co-wrote 2008’s Bolt, and also has writing credits on Mulan, The Emperor’s New Groove, and Brother Bear. Conli was the producer for 2010’s Tangled and 2002’s Treasure Planet.

Big Hero 6 is based on a Marvel Comics superhero team created by Steven T. Seagle and Duncan Rouleau, and follows robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada in his efforts to foil a criminal plot against the city of “San Fransokyo” with the help of a motley assortment of five additional heroes. The movie is scheduled for release on November 7, 2014.
