Emma insists on going to help Scott, creating a rift between her and the Inner Circle, which is widened when she learns that the Inner Circle does not plan to destroy the Phoenix, but instead to harness it. But at the last minute, some very surprising help comes to Xavier’s aid.

And in the present, it’s up to Wolverine to stop both Magneto and the Inner Circle, and prevent that catastrophic future from coming to pass.
