First he was in, then he was out and now Sam Mendes is in again as the director of the upcoming James Bond entry – the 24th in the film’s long franchise history. Mendes had initially indicated he would be unable to direct the next movie in the Bond franchise after “Skyfall” closed with impressive worldwide numerals. But in the end, in typical Bond fashion, involving plot twists that briefly had Christopher Nolan as a possible director of the next Bond film, the film’s release date was pushed back and Mendes found some time in his schedule to accommodate the gig that will have Daniel Craig returning as Agent 007 for his fourth fling in the superspy ring.
The as-yet-untitled 24th entry in the James Bond film franchise is currently scheduled for a November 6, 2015 release in the USA and an October 23, 2015 release in the UK.
