The Batman movie by Matt Reeves is set to start filming soon and be out in theaters by 2021. Yet aside from Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, there is no definitive castings for the rest of the film. Until now that is.
The Hollywood Reporter is stating that Zoe Kravitz has been cast as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. A character who has been rumored for the film in a while. Kravitz apparently did tests with Pattison in the past week and director Matt Reeves seemed to like their chemistry.
Ironically, this isn’t the first time Kravitz has been Catwoman, as she was the voice to the character in the Batman Lego movie back in 2017. That being said, this will be the first the character has been seen in live-action since the critically acclaimed film The Dark Knight Rises, which starred Anne Hathaway.
However, given the pedigree of Matt Reeves as a storyteller many believe that this interpretation will be fine.
FYI, Catwoman (or Selina Kyle, at least) appeared in the 2012 film [I]The Dark Knight Rises[/I], the last Batman movie by Christopher Nolan.
