“X-Men: Days of Future Past” isn’t even out yet and already the next film in the X-Men series has already been given a release date and begun to be promoted by director Bryan Singer. But that’s how it works in the movie biz these days. Apocalypse – in case you are unaware or forgot the comic book hierarchy and backstory – is essentially the evilest of all the evil villains. He has all the powers of the superheroes combined into one evil supervillain and as such, he is virtually indestructible [did we say “virtually”? We’re pretty sure we just did] – and, of course, he will be a formidable foe for the X-Men.
“X-Men: Apocalypse” is currently scheduled for a May 27, 2016 release date.
