Fans recently got a welcome reveal via Activision, as they announced that Crash Bandicoot 4 was coming. A true next title in the long-beloved franchise that helped elevate PlayStation to the next tier of video game consoles. The franchise had recently gotten “reborn” via remastered of the original three titles via the Crash Bandicoot N’Sane Trilogy title, but this is an all-new game and gamers are pretty excited about it.
But it may be that they have even MORE things to be excited about here as the game is rumored to have an astonishing 100+ levels. The reason for this belief is a leak from a Gamestop email that is going to be used to promote the game (allegedly) and as such reveals that there is a lot to look forward to.
A big reason why the 100 levels plus notion is exciting for games is that usually Crash Bandicoot game have about 1/3 that amount. Which in the original days of the franchise were fine, but many fans noted that for a $60 price tag it needs to have more.
THAT $60 PRICETAG MAKES ALL THE MORE SENSE NOW, DANG

Obviously, since this is a “leak” it needs to be taken with a grain of salt. However, the existence of Crash Bandicoot 4 was leaked long before Activision made an official announcement, and as such, it’s entirely possible that this could be true. Plus, we don’t know how long the team have been working on the title, and thus the game really could have 100+ levels to help ensure that it’s a “full experience”.
Crash Bandicoot as a whole was a franchise known for its platforming and its difficulty. So having more levels could enhance that experience for the modern age, which many would appreciate as they don’t like spending money on a short game.
Only time will tell just how long the game will be.
