Another week passed, another week of release date news.
- In 2025, we will get a compilation film of the Gojo flashback arc of Jujutsu Kaisen.
- The film Case Closed: The Bride of Halloween released on digital stores August 25 and is available now.
- Gkids will release two anime films, The Colors Within and Ghost Cat Anzu in theaters this winter.
- The Idolm@ster Shiny Colors season two will release on October 4.
- The virtual reality anime Gundam Silver Phantom will release October 3 on Meta Quest 2 and 3 headsets.
- The manga Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray will get an anime adaptation in 2025.
- Kitarō Tanjō: Gegege no Nazo will get a re-release in Japanese theaters on October 4. This re-release will include include a great deal of changes from the original theatrical release and receive an R15 rather than a PG12 in Japan. No news on an international release yet. This film is set in the universe of the shonen manga Birth of Kitaro: The Mystery of GeGeGe.
- The American/Japanese co-production Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim will also get a Japanese dub and release on December 27. Japanese trailer here,
- The Story of the Girl Who Couldn’t Become a Wizard light novel series will get an anime adaptation on October 4. Trailer here,
- Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom film, part of the iconic isekai franchise, will debut in North American theaters November 8.
- Seinen manga Detectives These Days, Really will get an anime adaptation in 2025. Trailer here,
- Romance manga Until You Bear My Child: The Substitute Bride and the Beast Soldier will get an anime adaptation on October 6.
- The shonen romantic comedy manga Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister will get an anime adaptation on October 1.
- The iconic Ghibli tear jerker Grave of the Fireflies will get a Netflix re-release September 16.
