In what has to be categorized as possibly the best news of the week for cartoon fans, Warner Bros has indicated they will be moving forward with their planned “Acme” feature film project by announcing the hiring of writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz [“X-Men: First Class”] for the project. Although the film will not revolve around the Looney Tunes characters themselves, the original film idea was centered on the infamous Acme Corporation, whose products are mostly used by Wile E. Coyote in his quest against the Roadrunner, and is intended to be a CG/live-action hybrid.

“Acme” is expected to have a 2016 release date.
