Video Business reports:
Pixar’s $293 million-grossing blockbuster hit Up soared to the top of the DVD and Blu-ray Disc sales charts in its debut week, according to Rentrak.
Paramount Home Entertainment’s summer blockbuster G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, which grossed $150.2 million in theaters, remained in the Top 3 among the charts.
Paramount broke the traditional window between theatrical and home video release for G.I. Joe, releasing the film on DVD and Blu-ray only 12½ weeks after its Aug. 7 theatrical debut.
