Untitled Goose Game Will Soon Support Co-Op Bird Terrorism

Beware….because there’s MORE THAN ONE GOOSE out there! Untitled Goose Game developer House House revealed today they’re working on a free update for their game that will add local two-player co-op support.

The second goose looks like the original goose on first glance, but upon closer inspection, it has a different beak..and also a different honk, in case that’s not enough. Co-op mode will not introduce any new levels; it will just make the game as-is a dual affair.

House House also announced the Goose is escaping his pen at Epic Games Store and will soon be available for PCs on Steam and Itch.io…and that’s not the only new way the Goose can run off with your money. Last month, they revealed Untitled Goose Game will be released physically this fall for Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

The website IAm8Bit is selling a limited print run of a “Lovely Edition” that contains the game, a folded poster map of the village drawn by Marigold Bartlett, a “Plaza Catalog” of the items you can find in the game, and a “No Goose” sticker. The last time we talked about this we had no indication how long the physical will be for sale or if iam8Bit would be the exclusive retailer. Since then, Amazon and Best Buy have put up their own preorder pages, so you should really have no problem landing a copy.

There will also be a soundtrack, though it is being sold separately. The Untitled Goose Game Vinyl Soundtrack, by Dan Golding and made out of entirely recycled material, sells for $30. The Lovely Edition also uses as much recycled content as possible. Old newspapers, candy wrappers….maybe even goose poop!

Preorders for Untitled Goose Game are still open at iAm8Bit (and everywhere else) for an unspecified period of time. The two-player upgrade will be added to all versions of the game on September 23.
