TMNT Shredder’s Revenge Will Use The Original Voice Cast

TMNT shredder's revenge

2022 is shaping up to be a great year if you’re into classic Ninja Turtle brawlers. Not only are all the 90s greats being reintroduced to the market, but we’re getting a BRAND-NEW Turtle fighter, crafted to be as authentic to the era as possible. And when we say authentic, we mean it.

Developer Tribute Games and publisher Dotemu revealed today TMNT Shredder’s Revenge will be using the original voice cast from the first cartoon. That means Cam Clarke as Leo, Townsend Coleman as Mikey, Barry Gordon as Don and Rob Paulsen as Raph — the first time all four have reunited since CBS canned the original series (though Paulsen got to voice a different Turtle in a future cartoon).

Shredder’s Revenge is being handled by members of the same team who worked on Scott Pilgrim: The Game, who know how to make an entertaining brawler. You won’t just control the green team, but April O’Neal and Splinter too (no word on if their VAs are back).

With Bebop and Rocksteady amassing gizmos to support Krang and Shredder’s latest scheme, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge finds the turtles battling through a breathless tour of iconic TMNT locations to thwart their nemeses’ most diabolical plan yet. Armed with shell-shocking new abilities built on a foundation of classic brawling mechanics, the gang are in for an exhilarating, Foot Clan-stomping romp leading them through the sewers and bustling boroughs of New York City all the way to Dimension X.

You can also look forward to TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection, a bundle from Konami that includes every single TMNT fighter from the classic era, in every single variant (NES, SNES and Genesis versions of the same game in some cases — this is a good thing as they actually differ in many ways).

As for TMNT Shredder’s Revenge, if you can believe it. they STILL haven’t pinned down a proper release date. But whenever it appears, it will appear on everything: Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
