Thomas the Tank Engine will star in a new feature-length DVD special to be released on September 9, producer HIT Entertainment announced today.
The Great Discovery will have Thomas stumbling on the ruins of Great Waterton, the oldest town on the island, and will be narrated by Pierce Brosnan, who also voices the new PBS series launching in September. It will retail for $19.98. HIT has already launched a website devoted to the DVD.
The company will also sponsor Day Out with Thomas 2008: The Great Discovery Tour, and Random House will publish the Golden Book Thomas & The Great Discovery.
