Everyone knows by now Phil Lord and Chris Miller are geniuses. I can remember the days when Clone High was new, and only I knew who they were. Then came The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse…now everybody sees the truth, and a new Lord Miller movie is an event.
So when Netflix acquired their latest animated creation, The Mitchells Vs The Machines, it was a double-edged sword…it was nice to not have to pay a ticket to see it, but it also meant no Blu-Ray release, because things on Netflix almost never get released outside of Netflix. And because there would be no bonus features, who knew what secrets we would miss out on? The Spider-Verse Blu-Ray contained an entire separate scrapped version of the movie!
Well, I’m happy to be wrong. A Mitchells Vs The Machines Blu-Ray was just announced today. And the special features sound GLORIOUS:

Too many physical media releases these days slack off and only give you one or two bonuses, if that. This scrumptious list is like a dream come true; a throwback to the 2000s when DVDs came packed with hours of behind-the-scenes goodies. It all comes packaged behind this great cover, which wasn’t half-assed either:
It’s everything I could have asked for and more. I know what I’m putting on my Christmas list. The Mitchells Vs The Machines: Katie Mitchell Edition Blu-Ray comes out December 14.
