Is the Arrowverse coming back in full? What about new shows?
If you’re a fan of Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Black Lightning, you’re in luck, for the entire Arrowverse has been renewed for new seasons. Well ahead of when most shows get the renewal tap.
This shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, as the connected universe (save for Black Lightning for now) has been building up to something big, and we know that next year is the big “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event. And according to the head of the CW, it’s going to be their biggest crossover ever:
“It will be the biggest, the most complicated one that they’ve done, but I am proud to say that they are doing it and we are supporting them,” CW President Mark Pedowitz told reporters at the 2019 Television Critics Association winter press tour.
The other thing to note is that the Batwoman series (the titular character of whom was introduced in the last crossover, Elseworlds) is also expected to arrive in series form this year or next. Not unlike how Black Lightning debuted in 2018 in January.
We’ll have to see how it all unfolds, and what is left after the Crisis ends.
