The CBS pilot episode for “Supergirl” is adding a couple new cast members – Chyler Leigh [“Grey’s Anatomy”] and David Harewood [“Homeland”]. Starring Melissa Benoist in the lead role and with Calista Flockhart [“Ally McBeal”] playing media magnate Cat Grant, Leigh will play Alexandra Danvers, Supergirl’s sister, while Harewood plays a former CIA agent who now runs the Department of Extra-Normal Operations and ultimately becomes cyborg Superman in the DC comics-based pilot.
“Supergirl” is currently scheduled to premiere later in 2015.
