The Super Bowl is a place where many companies try and show a brief tease of what’s coming from them, especially when it comes to movies. Marvel decided to bring some of its big names to the small screen in terms of a Black Widow trailer, but also, a tease of what shows are coming to the popular streaming service Disney Plus.
If you didn’t know, Disney+ is going to feature several extensions of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and some of the first ones that are coming out are Falcon & Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Loki. The teaser (that you can see below) is some of the first true clips of those shows.
Each one got its own time in the spotlight. For Falcon & Winter Soldier, we got the first look at Sam Wilson wielding the iconic Captain America Shield (of which he officially received from Steve Rogers at the end of Endgame), as well as Bucky Barnes confronting the returning Baron Zemo (who will act more like his comic book counterpart according to reports) and a tease of US Agent.
In regards to WandaVision, we got a big tease of how crazy the show is going to be. In short, Wanda is still struggling with the loss of The Vision (who died officially in Avengers Infinity War) and apparently her powers are manifesting in a way that has created a “sitcom world” where they both live. This is another version of the legendary and infamous “House of M” comic event where Wanda used her powers to create a world where Mutants were the higher class and her father Magneto is in charge. Of the clips, we saw her with Vision, her in her original comic accurate costume, and even her with twins (another reference to House of M).
Finally, with Loki, we saw a brief clip of Loki in chains promising to burn the place he’s in to the ground. Classic Loki.
All in all, Marvel has a lot going for it, and you’ll want to get Disney+ to enjoy it.
