Steve Blum Reaches Guinness Book of World Records with Most Video Game Voice Actor Roles

Nickelodeon has issued a press release marking the entry of voice actor Steve Blum into the Guinness Book of World Records for being the most prolific voice actor in video games with 261 credits as of May 10, 2012.

Nickelodeon also included a clip from The Legend of Korra, focusing on Blum’s role as Amon, the mysterious masked leader of the Equalists:

Voice actor Steve Blum sets Guinness World Record

Voiceover actor Steve Blum was honored on June 5 by Guinness World Records for being the most prolific videogame voice actor having accrued 261 credits as of May 10, 2012. The presentation took place at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, CA.

He has lent his voice to video games such as “X-Men: Destiny, Legends and Origin,” “Captain America: Super Soldier,” “Green Lantern: Emerald Knights,” “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed I & II,” “Final Fantasy: Dirge of Cerberus,” “Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker,” “Valkyria Chronicles II,” “Dead Island,” “Call of Duty: Black Ops and World at War,” “Mass Effect 2,” “Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City,” “The Bourne Conspiracy,” “Dragon Age: Origins” and “Bulletstorm.”

Blum currently voices the role of “Amon,” the mysterious masked leader of the anti-bending revolution on Nickelodeon’s new hit animated adventure The Legend of Korra. The series center around a new Avatar named Korra, a 17-year-old headstrong and rebellious girl who continually challenges and bucks tradition on her quest to become a fully realized Avatar in a world where benders are under attack. The Legend of Korra airs Saturdays at 11 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
