Whether you’re a diehard Star Wars fan or a newcomer, there’s always something for everyone in the franchise. That’s the case with the Disney Junior series “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures”, which will wrap up season 2 on March 19, 2025. Here’s everything that you need to know.
Star Wars Young Jedi Adventures is a Disney Junior show based on the Star Wars franchise that came out on May 4, 2023. The series is the first Disney Junior show to also be a Disney Plus original. Set 200 years before “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace”, during the High Republic era, “Young Jedi Adventures” follows Jedi younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs as they study the ways of the Force, learn from Jedi Master Yoda, explore the galaxy with best friend Nash Durango, and help citizens and creatures in need. In Young Jedi Adventures Season 2, the younglings will continue their training and embark on even bigger missions across the galaxy. Helping to lead the younglings on these missions is Master Zia’s new Padawan, Wes Vinik, and his astromech R0-M1. The series is developed by Michael Olson (who worked on Puppy Dog Pals), Shellie K’vilvang O’Brien (who worked on The Powerpuff Girls 1998 as well as Puppy Dog Pals), Lamont Magee (who worked on the Black Lightning TV show), and Lucasfilm executives Josh Rimes and James Waugh.
Some of the premises for upcoming episodes include helping Prince Cyrus defend his home from pirates, teaming up with Nash to save Yoda, and Nubs meeting an adult Pooba. To quote series co-creator Michael Olson: “We’re thrilled to invite fans of Kai, Lys, Nubs, and Nash back to the galaxy far, far away with Season 2 of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures. This season, our heroes face thrilling challenges, welcome spirited Padawan Wes Vinik and a new class of younglings to Tenoo, and reunite with friends from across the galaxy. Together, they’ll learn important lessons about friendship, compassion, and overcoming fears. This heartfelt and action-packed season will be a thrilling ride, and we can’t wait to share it with you.”
The first half of season 2 premiered on August 14, 2024, dropping 11 episodes in one go. The second half of season 2 will contain the remaining 14 episodes. This release schedule differs from season 1, which dropped its 25 episodes in four batches. Of course, much like the rest of the series, the episodes will also roll out on a weekly basis on the Disney Junior block and channel.
The show’s principal voice cast includes JeCobi Swain as Kai Brightstar, Juliet Donenfeld as Lys Solay, Dee Bradley Baker as Nubs, Emma Berman as Nash Durango, Trey Murphy as Taborr/Cyrus Vuundir, Eric Bauza as EB-3, Sara Kramer as Pord, Nasim Pedrad as Master Zia Zanna, Gunnar Sizemore as Wes Vinik, and Piotr Michael as Master Yoda. The series is produced by Disney Junior Education And Inclusion, Wild Canary Animation, and Lucasfilm, with animation services provided by regular Disney Junior collaborator Icon Creative Studios Inc. Eden Riegel serves as voice director.
And that’s all we know about at the moment. There’s currently no word on if there will be a season 3. We’ll keep you updated with any information that comes. Are you excited for the second half of season 2?
