Star Wars The Bad Batch Gets New Trailer

the bad batch

The Star Wars universe is going to be growing quite a bit over the next few years as multiple new animated and live-action series are going to arrive on Disney+ after the success of The Mandalorian as well as the final season of The Clone Wars that was beloved by many for the most part. In that final season of Clone Wars, we got the set of episodes that revealed the Clone Wars version of the “Dirty Dozen”, aka “The Bad Batch”.

This was a group of soldiers who were able to do the missions “too dangerous” for regular Clone Troopers and each had genetically altered states to give them special talents. They’re powerful, efficient, and always got the job done. But what happens to them when their mission is beyond what they want?

That appears to be the focus of The Bad Batch series, done in the visual style of The Clone Wars. The series will focus on the group after the war has ended and they don’t comply with Order 66. As such, by order of Admiral Tarkin, they’re to be hunted and killed.

Easier said than done.

The show will bring in some new and old faces to help tell the story. Including a new kid with a bow and Fennec Strand (who was in The Mandalorian) played by Ming-Na Wen.

It’s going to be interesting to see how far this series goes because Star Wars Rebels (the sequel series to Clone Wars) did show some Clones escaped Order 66, but there was no mention of Bad Batch because they didn’t exist at the time. So whether they honestly live or die by the time the series is over is a bit up in the air.

However, with it arriving on Star Wars Day, aka May 4th, you can bet many will tune into Disney+ to find out.
