Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television, introduced Cort Lane (VP), Stephen Wacker (VP – animation), and Eric Radomski (SVP) to talk about what’s coming up for Marvel Animation. The upcoming third season of Ultimate Spider-Man, which is titled Web Warriors will be about Spider-Man chasing the Green Goblin throughout other realities and meeting various version of himself. They screened “The Spider-Verse” part 1, where Spider-Man meets Spider-Man 2099 in a CG world and then meets a female version of himself in a gender-flipped reality. They also teased Peter Porker Spider-Ham. Web Warriors debuts in September on Disney XD.
Fred Tatasciore, the voice of the Hulk on both Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. joined the panel to announce that Marvel’s Avengers Assemble will return September 28th and Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. will return on October 26th, both on DisneyXD. A clip of Marvel’s Avengers Assemble was shown, in which Captain America struggled against the effects of an Infinity Gem and Thanos was alluded to. They then presented a clip of Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. in which the trapped in space Hulks face off against Ronan the Accuser and Kree soldiers.
They also mentioned their latest DTV. A follow-up to Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United, Iron Man & Captain America: Heroes United, has been recently released.
Finally, a rough animation test of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy animated series was presented. Rocket is chased by a powerful enemy and is saved by Starlord, who recommends Rocket get a bigger blaster.
