Who will appear in Crisis On Infinite Earths? What surprises will there be?
Last years’ Arrowverse crossover, Elseworlds dropped a bombshell by stating that Crisis On Infinite Earths would be coming. This is the name of a major DC Comics event that basically rebranded and retconned much of the universe things to an attack on the Multiverse by the Anti-Monitor. At the end of Arrow Season 7, it was revealed that Oliver Queen was to go with The Monitor to go and prepare worlds for what was coming.
Now, via SDCC 2019 and Deadline, we know one world that will get involved is the world of Superman Returns. Meaning that Brandon Routh (who is currently playing Ray Palmer/The Atom on Legends of Tomorrow) will be suiting up as Superman once again.
Superman Returns came out in 2006, and received lukewarm reviews and box office gain. The franchise rebooted once again after that via Man of Steel.
The Superman of the Arrowverse, Tyler Hoechlin will also be in the Crisis event, and many are expecting Tom Welling’s Superman from Smallville to arrive as well. More details will be coming soon.
