Want to see some footage from Wonder Woman 1984? So do most people! Unfortunately what was screened at the Wonder Woman Comic-Con panel was not put online. Will a description suffice?

According to CBR, “The footage features Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince/Wonder Woman rescuing a young girl from a pair of gunmen at a quintessential 1980s shopping mall. The Amazon Princess gives the girl a smile and tells her to hold on as she slides her into a large teddy bear display before crushing the armed men’s weapons and lassoing them up.”

If it doesn’t sound like much, it’s because Wonder Woman 1984 just started shooting three weeks ago. Not only are there no special effects shots to show, we’re lucky to have ONE action scene in the can. This movie doesn’t come out until the tail end of 2019, and there is still a lot of work to do.

Director Patty Jenkins was present at the panel, and was asked “Why 1984?” She replied “It was mankind at it’s best and worst. We’re aware of things now that we weren’t in the 80s, there were some incredible and beautiful things in the 80s but at the same time there were some of the worst. It’s us at our most extreme.” And rad!

Starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal, Wonder Woman 1984 will lasso moviegoers’ wallets once again on Nov. 1, 2019.
