Death Battle started off season 9 with a battle of psychotic ladies, and now, in their latest fight, they’re bringing in a couple of magical women to set the stage for a truly grand squabble! It’s Scarlet Witch Vs Zatanna! The comparisons between these two go beyond basic “Magic users of Marvel and DC”, these are two of the most powerful characters in their universes by a wide margin, and their magical talents (mixed with a few other things) make them quite versatile in what they can do.
It also is fitting that this fight is happening a month or so before the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as that is the Scarlet Witches next big appearance in the MCU. And Zatanna has been a mainstay character for DC Comics as of late via her time in the Justice League Dark (among other appearances of course).
As you might expect from a fight like this, there is not just spellwork (including backward spells for Zatanna), we get to see these two break the laws of reality many times over. So who wins in this fight? Watch Scarlet Witch Vs Zatanna below and find out!
As for next time, we have an anime fight that many are no doubt going to enjoy. It’s Jonathan Joestar from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure going up against Tanjiro from Demon Slayer. These two protags (Jonathan was protag of Parts 1 & 2 of the series) are incredibly powerful and noble warriors, so this should be a wondrous clash.
This will be just the third time Jojo characters have been in Death Battle as Joturo Kujo and Dio have been in DB before. Meanwhile, Demon Slayer is making its debut on the series, and that will leave many wondering if the debut will end in success or failure.
