Sam Register @ MIP Jr: "Beware the Batman"; "Super Best Friends Forever"; "Tom & Jerry"; "DC Nation" News

The World’s Finest has covered comments by Sam Register confirming that In the same session at the MIP Junior conference in Cannes, France. Glen Murakami (Teen Titans, Ben 10: Ultimate Alien) will serve as executive producer, and Batman’s guest stars will include a gun-toting Alfred Pennyworth and DC superhero Katana as a younger female sidekick to Batman.

Register also revealed several upcoming highlights of the DC Nation block, including stop-motion Batman animated shorts to be produced by Aardman Animation; confirmation of Plastic Man animated shorts (first confirmed by voice actor Tom Kenny); a new series called Super Best Friends Forever created by Lauren Faust and starring Wonder Girl, Batgirl, and Supergirl; and a series of Doom Patrol animated shorts.

In the same session, Register addressed the remakes of ThunderCats, Looney Tunes, and Green Lantern, confirmed a new Tom & Jerry show scheduled to air in 2012, and hinted at a slate of animation for adult cable networks.
