Is our long drought of Wubba Lubba Dub Dub and all that has to do with it finally ceasing? The answer would appear to be “yes” — we’ve got a release date for Rick and Morty Season 3!
Adult Swim revealed the date during a special livestream this evening: brand new adventures begin July 30! They also gave us a new trailer, packed with scattered footage. From the minute and thirty-five seconds given to us, we caught the following sights:
- Several scenes implying a Mad Max parody episode
- Morty choking some guy to death in a tub via a gigantic muscular hand
- A masked figure leaping out of a toilet
- Morty tied up and worriedly staring at the remains of some dude
- Rick and Jerry on a roller coaster (guess we haven’t seen the last of Jerry)
- Two Summers, one a cyborg, preparing to shoot behind a corner as Rick chats it up with a giant bug
- Morty attacking some green guy in Rick’s spaceship while the ship crashes through the living room
- Giant Summer
- An army of Ricks with weapons
- Morty screaming at somebody named Gene
