Rockstar Games has officially announced the impending launch of the beta for “Red Dead Online” – the multi-player online version of “Red Dead Redemption 2”. Early access to the beta will begin November 27, 2018 – with full public access beginning on November 30, 2018.
“Red Dead Online” will have multiplayer gameplay from “Red Dead Redemption” along with updated technology features of “Red Dead Redemption 2”.
Players can create customized characters and abilities to explore the open world while forming or joining posses of up to seven players. Additional features include gathering around the campfire “Blazing Saddles”-style, hunting, fishing, venturing out to explore the towns of the world; embark on missions, search for lost treasure, attack rival posse hideouts and, of course, engage in large-scale set-piece battles against other posses.
“Red Dead Online” will launch with an early access period on November 27, 2018 specifically for owners of “Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition”. The next day, November 28, 2018 will be open to those who played “Red Dead Redemption 2” on October 26, 2018 [according to Rockstar’s data]. The following day – November 29, 2018 – will be for players who played “Red Dead Redemption 2” between October 26 and October 29, 2018. Finally, on November 30, 2018, the doors will be thrown open to all the world [as long as you own “Red Dead Redemption 2”] with players accessing the online version by selecting the “Online” option in the top right of the title menu.
