JAZWARES EXPANDS PORTFOLIO TO INCLUDE NICKELODEON LICENSE

New Line of Classic Nicktoons Figures and Plush Set to Launch Fall 2012

SUNRISE, FL – September 4, 2012 – Jazwares, a leader in the licensed products marketplace, announced today a licensing partnership with Nickelodeon to create Nicktoons-themed figures and plush. Inspired by some of the network’s most iconic animated series, the line will feature Rugrats, Jimmy Neutron, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Ren & Stimpy, Fairly Odd Parents, CatDog, Hey Arnold!, Danny Phantom, Rocket Power, Rocko’s Modern Life, and T.U.F.F. Puppy designed products. This licensing agreement follows Jazwares’ successful 2011 release of figures and electronics based on Nickelodeon’s popular Fanboy & Chum Chum series.

We are always looking for new and meaningful licenses to add to our growing roster, and with Nicktoons’ iconic characters and memorable series, this is the perfect fit,” said Laura Zebersky, executive vice president global sales, Jazwares. “Nicktoons is a brand enjoyed across generations, so we hope that introducing each series’ prominent characters as figures and plush will allow consumers both young and old to savor some of the fondest moments of their favorite shows.”

Jazwares’ Nicktoons line will include 2-inch 6-pack and 4-pack figure sets as well as 2-inch figures, 6-inch figures and 7-inch plush items. The line of articulated and collectible figures as well as plush items will be available nationwide fall 2012.

“Nickelodeon has a longstanding history in animation; our series are filled with great storytelling, compelling characters and irreverent humor — we’re very excited to expand our relationship with Jazwares to develop the new Nicktoons line,” Manuel Torres, senior vice president, global toys and consumer electronics, Nickelodeon.

Nicktoons, which initially launched as an original programming block of three shows on Nickelodeon in 1991, has expanded over the past two decades to include more than 39 original series. The Nicktoons network currently reaches nearly 58 million homes via cable, digital cable and satellite.
