PR: A Spooky Schedule This October on TELETOON



With scary Halloween shows scheduled throughout the month and special Thanksgiving programming, the daytime schedule on TELETOON is keeping television screens hot even as the weather is cooling down.

October 3 – October 9

Spooky 6TEEN
From 4 pm ET/PT on Friday, October 3, the Friday at Four block gets into the scary spirit of the seasonwith the hour-long Halloween special 6TEEN: Dude of the Living Dead. The gang fights for survival when zombies take over the mall. The special is followed by an episode of the award-winning show that sees Jonesy hold a Midnight Madness movie marathon.

Sneak-peek for a new series
Viewers who tune-in to TELETOON on Friday, October 3 at 5:30 ET/PT will be the first to see the new TELETOON show Best Ed as a spooky sneak-peek of the show airs as part ofFriday at Four.
Best Ed is about the unlikely friendship between a dog named Ed and a squirrel named Buddy. In the Halloween themed episode Ed learns the truth behind the legendary Breadless Norseman and Buddy believes that the kitten twins are behind the strange goings-on in the neighbourhood.

New Shows, New Episodes
In a new and slightly scary Out of Jimmy’s Head Jimmy is on the look-out for evil ghosts and a homemade monster on Saturday, October 4 at 7:30 am and 12:30 pm ET/PT. Saturday comedy continues with new episodes of Shaggy and Scooby-Doo get a Clue at 8:30 am and 2:30 pm ET/PT and My Gym Partner’s a Monkey at noon. The kitchen gets musical when Chowder prepares Singing Beans in a new episode of Chowder at 11 am ET/PT.

Action on the weekend includes a new episodes of Ben 10: Alien Force that sees Ben discover the truth behind a series of attacks by zombie girls at 9:30 am ET/PT on Sunday, October 5. At 10 am ET/PT in a new episode of The Batman the Mirror Master tries to trap everyone in Gotham behind their mirrors.

TELETOON Presents Spooky Scooby-Doo
The TELETOON Presents movies for the week are two Scooby-Doo mysteries. On Saturday, October 4 at 9 am ET/PT, the gang head to Scotland to solve the mystery of Nessie and unwittingly take part in the Highland Games in Scooby-Doo! And The Loch Ness Monster. At 3 pm ET/PT, Scooby and Shaggy are stranded in a desert town where they find UFOs and maybe even love in Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders. An encore presentation of Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders airs on Sunday, October 5 at 11 am ET/PT.

October 10 – October 16

Creepy Cartoon Classics
On Friday, October 10 classic cartoon characters turn creepy when Bugs Bunny, Fat Albert and George of the Jungle get the terror treatment. At 4 pm ET/PT, The Bugs Bunny Mystery Special follows Bugs as he is arrested for a bank robbery he didn’t commit and goes undercover to find the real culprit.
At 4:30 pm ET/PT Bugs and Daffy go through chilling changes in Bugs Bunny’s Creature Features.
Halloween in the Fat Albert Halloween Special features an eerie cemetery and the gang getting tricked out of their treats at 5 pm ET/PT while in the new George of the Jungle at 5:30 pm George accidentally unleashes a horde of zombie critters.

TELETOON Presents – More Scary Scooby
On Saturday, October 11 at 9 am ET/PT TELETOON Presents, Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School in which Scooby, Scrappy and Shaggy are hired as coaches of Miss Grimwood’s Finishing School and soon
learn that everything isn’t always as it seems. At 3 pm ET/PT Scoob and Shaggy head to Egypt when Velma
unearths a hidden tomb in Scooby-Doo! In Where’s My Mummy? (Repeats Sun, Oct 12 at 11 am).

Thanksgiving programming
On Thanksgiving Monday TELETOON airs over seven hours of special programming, beginning at 8 am ET/PT with the Canadian premiere of the feature-length Codename Kids Next Door: Operation I.N.T.E.R.V.I.E.W. in which the operatives take part in a series of interviews after they’re all grown up to discuss what happened during their very last mission (Repeats at 2:30 pm).

At noon on Monday, viewers can find Bugs Bunny as, of all things, a diet doctor dispensing dubious advice to his figure-conscious friends including Yosemite Sam, Wile E. Coyote and Sylvester the Cat in Bugs Bunny’s Thanksgiving Diet. Daffy Duck has his own take on the holiday at 12:30 pm ET/PT in Daffy Duck’s Thanks-for-giving Special followed by The Looney, Looney Bugs Bunny Movie at 1 pm ET/PT.

October 17 – October 23

Halloween Looms
The Halloween countdown continues with the Friday at Four movie Beetlejuice on Friday, October 17 at 4 pm ET/PT. While on Saturday, October 18 at 3 pm ET/PT the TELETOON Presents movie is the Emmy Award-winning The Halloween Tree (Repeats Sun, Oct 18 at 11am ET/PT). Based on the book by Ray Bradbury, the animated movie follows a group of trick or treating friends that are given an unexpected lesson in the history of the holiday. The Halloween Tree features the voice of Leonard Nimoy.

Scary Scooby-Doo Premiere plus more movies
From October 20 until October 30 Scooby fans can catch a choice Scooby-Doo movie every weekday evening at 5:30 pm ET/PT in TELETOON Shriek Nights. Kicking off on Monday with the Canadian premiere of the new animated Scooby-Doo movie, Scooby-Doo and The Goblin King. Shaggy and Scooby travel to Halloween Land, encounter a headless horseman and retrieve a powerful scepter from the Goblin King. (Repeats Sun, Oct 26 at 9 am). Other scary Scooby movies include Scooby-Doo in Pirates Ahoy, Chill Out Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico.

13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo
Saturday, October 18 marks the beginning of The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo. Until October 30, viewers can catch two back-to-back episodes of the series at 7:30 pm ET/PT. Guest starring Vincent Price, the time traveling Scooby series airs on TELETOON until October 30.

October 24 – October 31

The weekend of October 25 and 26 is crammed with creepiness as terrifying specials of TELETOON shows and freaky features fill the schedule from 6 am to 8:30 pm ET/PT in TELETOON Halloween Creepend.

Frightening Favourites
Spooky specials include a ghostly Out of Jimmy’s Head on Saturday, October 25 at 8 am ET/PT and a sinister Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue in which Shaggy and Scoob’s regular scary movie night is transformed as on screen characters are projected into reality at 2:30 pm ET/PT on Saturday, October 25. The girls of Totally Spies! find babysitting an unsettling enterprise at 7am ET/PT on Sunday, October 26.

Fang-tastic Canadian Premiere
A spin-off from the hit series The Batman, TELETOON airs the Canadian premiere of the animated feature, The Batman vs. Dracula as the TELETOON Presents movie on Saturday October 25 at 3 pm ET/PT. With supernatural strength, speed and mind control Dracula might prove to powerful for the Dark Knight. The movie also stars tenacious reporter Vicky Vale and favourite bad guys The Joker and The Penguin.

Halloween is here
On the day itself, TELETOON begins the trick or treating at 9 am ET/PT on Friday, October 31, as a dead rat get more romance than Todd in a Halloween Wayside. From 5:30 pm ET/PT viewers have another chance to catch the feature length 6TEEN: Dude of The Living Dead as well as Bugs Bunny’s Creature Features at 7:30 pm followed by The Bugs Bunny Mystery Special at 8 pm ET/PT.
