Nintendo formally announced today the coming of the next title in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series, Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, available in physical and digital form for your 3DS in the winter of 2015. Nintendo stated “In Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, players will battle alongside Legendary and Mythical Pokémon to save the world in a sweeping tale of adventure and mystery.”
Mystery Dungeon is a series of roguelike games featuring randomly generated dungeons. It was once a Japan-exclusive, but then when they started adding Pokemon to the mix, it took off internationally. There have been several Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games released since then. And as the logo says, this one is the SUPER one.
Wait……Winter of 2015? So it’s going to be released three months in the past? This is what the press release said and what the media is reporting. Normally when you hear “winter release” the first three months of a year are being implied. There isn’t much winter left within the remainder of 2015. It’s either a typo or they mean December 2015. If it IS a typo, then they mean January or February of 2016. Either way, the dates are close enough to give you the information you need. Expect it sometime when the weather gets cold again.
