Will there be more Pokemon movies besides Detective Pikachu? How about a movie about the Red & Blue games?
The Pokemon series was, and still is, one of the most popular franchises in the world today, but many were surprised when the first live-action movie was revealed to be a film based on the Detective Pikachu games and not the main series. But now, rumors are swirling that Legendary (the publisher behind the Detective Pikachu movie) are indeed preparing to make a live-action adaptation of Red & Blue, the first Pokemon games.
If this is true, it could be a big game-changer for things in the live-action world. Now, whether it will be Ash Ketchum in the main role or Red (the character from the manga and Origins anime) is unclear, but this could be the movie that Pokemon fans have been waiting for.
