Nintendo will be hosting an interactive exhibit during WonderCon at the Anaheim Convention Center from April 3 to April 5, featuring the first publicly playable exhibition of the hotly anticipated squid shooter Splatoon. Be the first to face off against your friends in this ink-spraying, quick-swimming action title.
But that’s not all! Nintendo’s booth will also be hosting several Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS amiibo tournaments. Bring your most powerfully trained amiibo and enter it into the tournament participant pool for the randomly selected chance to become one of 32 competitors in a heated Smash battle, starring your amiibo. Winners of this tournament will take home a variety of different amiibo figures, with the grand prize being the coveted and hard-to-find Gold Mario version. Amiibo tournaments are currently scheduled for Friday, April 3, at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., April 4 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., and April 5 at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. More information about the tournament rules and regulations can be found at http://www.nintendo.com/corp/wondercon-SSB-amiibo-tournament.
On Sunday, April 5, at 1:30 p.m. in Room 300DE, Capcom will be conducting a special developer panel about Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Director Kaname Fujioka and series executive producer Ryozo Tsujimoto will highlight exclusive insights from the game, and will take questions in an audience Q&A session. WonderCon attendees can also visit the Capcom booth, which is located next to the Nintendo booth, for more Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate goodies.
If you can’t make it to WonderCon, you can still participate by following Nintendo’s social media channels for the chance to win free Splatoon prizes from home.
