Wonder Woman 1984 is already one of the most anticipated films of 2020, but one thing that many fans are waiting for is the first full “view” of Kristen Wiig as Cheetah. The character is one of the few majorly-known villains of Wonder Woman, but she’s never officially been done in live-action. And while fans have seen posters of actress Kristen Wiig in cheetah-spot attire. We haven’t seen her in full villain form.
At a panel in Brazil, Director Patty Jenkins talked about why they hired Wiig for Wonder Woman 1984.
“We were super fans of Kristen, and we love how funny she is, but I’ve also been a huge admirer of what a great actress she is for a long time,” Jenkins explained. “So when we needed someone to go all the way from one end of the spectrum of being funny, sweet Diana’s friend, all the way to a totally different place, we knew that Kristen Wiig would kill it, and she went beyond our wildest dreams.”
