Are all of Microsoft’s best indie titles coming to Nintendo Switch? First Cuphead, and now Ori And The Blind Forest?
The bomb was dropped during Nintendo’s Indie World video, streamed early this morning. This Metroidvania adventure, regarded as one of the XBox’s finest, casts you as a glowy little creature charged with saving his forest from destruction. Its lush painted style and absorbing gameplay won it many fans, and it will be getting a sequel on the XBox in 2020. But you can play the first game on Switch starting September 27!
Ori wasn’t alone; here are the other indie titles revealed for Switch during the stream, listed in release order:
Hotline Miami Collection — today
The Switch plays catch-up to the Hotline Miami series with this special release of both games in one bundle. A physical edition will be produced by Special Reserve Games in the near future.
Superhot — today
A FPS with puzzle-solving elements and a time-slowing mechanic.
Torchlight II — September 3
Diablo clone from 2012; originally published on PC.
Creature in the Well — September 6
Blasphemous — September 10
Northgard — September 26
A strategy game involving vikings.
Risk of Rain 2 — September
This co-op roguelike recently left Steam Early Access and launched for PC; its console release won’t be far off.
Trine 4 — October 8
The Touryst — November
A puzzle adventure game on a blocky island. Announced for the first time in Nintendo’s video.
