The CW’s superhero mashup known as Legends of Tomorrow will begin its second season next week. The first season started out strong but went downhill fast….will this new season be any better? The solution may not be “more superheroes,” but that’s what we’re getting.
In the new season Rip Hunter and his crew travel back to World War II and meet up with the Justice Society of America: Lance Henriksen as Obsidian, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Vixen (not the current Vixen, but her grandmother), Sarah Grey as Stargirl, and Nick Zano as Nate Heywood (aka Citizen Steel).
They join the bloated team of Rip, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, White Canary and the gang. No longer in the group is Captain Cold, who’s teamed up with the Reverse Flash and Malcolm Merlyn to form the Legion of Doom. Eventually, you can count on Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl lending a hand when all four shows initiate their big crossover later this fall. And from this new trailer, we can also add the return of Jonah Hex, plus Albert Einstein, Nazis, dinosaurs, ninjas, zombies…
…Well, if it’s not any better written, at least it’ll never be boring. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns this Thursday, October 11 on The CW.
