Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders will receive a sequel animated movie in 2017, reuniting veteran actor Adam West (Batman) with William Shatner of Star Trek fame as the Batman villain Two-Face. The news was revealed Thursday evening near the very end the World Premiere Screening and panel for the film by none other than Warner Bros Animation president Sam Register, who revealed the news by playing a short introduction video from Mr. Shatner for the fans. That video has since been posted for all to see right here, where Mr. Shatner reveals his casting role and jokes about going “Where no Batman villain has gone before.”
The sequel to Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders has the working title of “Batman vs. Two-Face” and is noted for involving a Bat-villain that never appeared in the live-action 1960s Batman TV series that the film takes so much inspiration from. Beyond Adam West as Batman and William Shatner as Two-Face, further details and characters for the sequel have not yet been announced.
