NYCC 2016: Advice For Stranger Things Season 2…Get Over Barb

Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour were the stars of NYCC’s Stranger Things panel today. Nothing earth-shattering about Season Two was revealed, but Harbour (who plays Chief Hopper in the series) had one bit of advice…..seriously, it’s time to let Barb go.

“We do deal with some of the internet rage over Barb,” said Harbour. “We will have justice for Barb in some sense, but those of you wishing that Barb somehow magically comes back to the show, I can assure you that Barb is very much dead.”

From that point he threw out that Season 2 would bring us more of the Jonathan-Steve-Nancy love triangle, but we figured as much. Brown added, “What if Barb came back and Jonathan and Barb were dating? That would be incredible.” She can’t control the writers’ room, however.

Brown recently celebrated her birthday on the set (she said her party was “great”). She also added that it’s hard to eat all those waffles. Then the subject somehow shifted to Paul Wesley from The Vampire Diaries, and Harbour said “He’s going to be in Atlanta when we’re shooting.” Brown quickly added “If I’m back in Atlanta,” and nice save, kid, but we know the truth.

Stranger Things Season Two will take place one year later, and premiere on Netflix sometime in 2017.
