Nickelodeon Welcomes Anthony Bourdain to “Sanjay & Craig” and Everest to “Paw Patrol”

“I’m a mega fan of Sanjay and Craig. I’ve seen absolutely every episode. This is a show I wish had existed when I was a kid. It has all the elements that I look for in my childhood for entertainment and was deprived of – stinky stuff, farts, toilet humor, gross stuff, awesome.” – Anthony Bourdain

Anthony Bourdain will guest star as famous TV food dude, Anthony Gourmand, in an upcoming episode of Nickelodeon’s Sanjay and Craig slated to air 2015.

In the episode, Craig has a new obsession: Anthony Gourmand, rad host of the TV series “Foodventurer.” When Sanjay and Craig discover him at the Frycade, Gourmand reveals he’s seeking the “ultimate” food. The dudes are convinced he’ll find it in Lundgren, so the trio dine on all the local delicacies: Hector’s Grandma’s armpit tamales, Munchie’s lollipops, Farmer Larry’s famous falcon butter and Noodman’s jam, but Gourmand deems all of it “not ultimate.” During a heated rant, Gourmand puts the pieces together, and discovers that the elusive “ultimate” food he is chasing is actually Craig. The exotic gourmet rushes back to the Frycade with Craig in hand to tape the TV finale featuring him eating Craig so it’s up to Sanjay to pull off the ultimate rescue to save his best bed from Gourmand’s boiling pot.

“On this episode of Sanjay and Craig I play Anthony Gourmand, a character not too different than myself, but more maniacal who arrives with his travel and food show in search of the ultimate food in the little town of Lundgren.” – Bourdain

“It’s a little weird seeing my voice coming out of Anthony Gourmand, but my friends have been telling me that I’ve been a cartoon of myself for years, so really I’m kind of used to this.” – Bourdain

Sanjay and Craig follows the misadventures of Sanjay (Maulik Pancholy), an excitable and irreverent 12-year-old boy and his best friend Craig (Chris Hardwick), a smooth-talking snake and master of disguise. The series was created by Jim Dirschberger, Jay Howell and Andreas Trolf, and is executive produced by Chris Viscardi and Will McRobb. New episodes currently debut Saturday’s at 10:30 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

The PAW Patrol welcomes a new canine cutie to the team in the brand-new, half-hour special, “The New Pup,” premiering Friday, Nov. 14, at 12 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. In the snowy adventure, Ryder surprises the pups with their newest vehicle – the PAW Patroller. The team needs it to rescue their friend Jake who is lost in the South Pole without any equipment. While the pups race to get him, an arctic storm picks up and Jake gets help from a brave mountain ranger Husky named Everest, who becomes the newest member of the PAW Patrol pack.

On Nickjr.com, Nickelodeon’s award-winning website, fans can check out an exclusive first look of “The New Pup” episode on Nov. 7, plus watch full winter-themed episodes of PAW Patrol. Following the episode premiere, the site will feature exclusive short-form video, downloadable coloring pages, collector cards and Everest printables.

PAW Patrol is the number-one preschool series on Nickelodeon and airs weekdays at 12 p.m. (ET/PT).
