The official box art depicting all the fighters from Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl was leaked this morning, and we got it from a surprising source: Nintendo. The preorder page for the game went live on the Switch eShop and the unaltered box was there.

It reveals four fighters, none of whom are surprising. Aang, Korra, Ren and Stimpy were all guessed as likely candidates months ago when fans analyzed the silhouettes on the temp box art. We would describe at this point how they fight, but no one knows yet…maybe when their trailers debut we’ll have more to say. They join the following others to make for a total of 20 fighters from across the Nickiverse:

  • Oblina (Aaahh!!! Real Monsters)
  • Danny Phantom (Danny Phantom)
  • Helga Pataki (Hey Arnold!)
  • Zim (Invader Zim)
  • Lincoln Loud (The Loud House)
  • Lucy Loud (The Loud House)
  • Reptar (Rugrats)
  • SpongeBob SquarePants (SpongeBob SquarePants)
  • Patrick Star (SpongeBob SquarePants)
  • Sandy Cheeks (SpongeBob SquarePants)
  • Leonardo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
  • Michelangelo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
  • Nigel Thornberry (The Wild Thornberrys)
  • Powdered Toast Man (The Ren & Stimpy Show)
  • CatDog (CatDog)
  • April O’Neil (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is being published by GameMill and developed by Ludosity and Fair Play Labs. It is expected to play a lot like Smash — four popular characters enter an arena themed around one of them, and they rack up damage points until three shoot away off-camera and one is left.

Does this mean we know who ALL the fighters are now? Not necessarily. There could be some that simply aren’t on the box. There could also be DLC characters on the way — no such plans have been announced, but GameMill would be stupid not to do it. So if you’re disappointed that you don’t see your favorite Nicktoon, take heart — it’s not over yet. (Unless your favorite was Doug; Nickelodeon can no longer legally do anything with the character.)

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl still has no specified release date, but is coming this fall to Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and all XBoxes.
